So as wonderful as the restaurants and cafes are around here. We have been doing quite a bit of home cooking as well.
This is my dinner from the other night. The plate is bread bites with cheese and avocado slices (fresh from the farmer) and the bowl is whole-wheat penne with some spruced up tomato sauce containing fresh garlic, spinach, onion, red pepper, and tomato chunks.
Helen and I whipped up this last night for a delicious meal. The rolls in the back are zucchini slices, grilled and then wrapped around ham, cheese and herbs, and spinach. Will definitely be making those again. There was also broccoli, some extra cheese chunks with lemon and herbs, and sauteed zucchini and red pepper topped with some leftover sauce from the above meal.
